1.0 My data media crashed ! How do I get the data recovered ?
Please follow the following key steps :
1.1 Download a copy of "Data Recovery Request Form" from the following web site: http://its.com.sg/datarecovery.xls
1.2 Bring the data media, and the Data Recovery Request Form to us for processing.
2.0 How is the recovery process being carried out ?
We will do an initial evaluation for you and advise you accordingly. In some cases, we may advise further laboratory evaluation. You will be informed of every step taken and without your agreement, we will not charge the cost to you.
3.0 How much is the cost of recovery and how long does it take?
You will receive a price quotation and a list of recoverable files and only upon your acceptance and full payment, we will then carry out the work. Generally it costs about
S$100 to S$300 for non physical damaged hard disk, S$400-S$2000 for physical
damaged harddisk, S$100-500 for other media. depends on media type, operating system, etc. In complex situation, it may cost more.
In general, it takes 1-2 days for non physical damage recovery, and 2-7 days for physical damage recovery. It is possible to expedite the process by engaging the "Priority Fast" service which could reduce the time by up to 50%.
4.0 Where are you situated ?
We are situated at 6 Ubi Road 1 #05-12 Wintech Centre, Singapore 408726. The person in charge is Thomas at 96606866.
5.0 What is my maximum payment in case the data could not be recovered ?
In some rare cases where data could not be recovered, you will only be charged the freight charges as a result of transporting the data media. This is about
S$8 per courier trip. no charge for self collection
6.0 Can I cancel the services at any stage of the recovery process ?
Yes. This is allowed before you accept the quotation and make full payment. See 2.0
7.0 Are your laboratory analysis free of charge ?
Yes. We practice no data, no charge policy strictly.
8.0 What happen if I still could not get back all my important files after my payment ?
In some cases it is not possible to get back all your critical files due to severe media corruption. In that case some discount will be offered. The amount will be at our discretion. It is also possible that some files could have been already damaged due to whatever cause even before the disk crashes. In this case it may involve separate and additional job effort to repair the files and we will give our fair assessment of the situation accordingly.
9.0 I need the data back very urgently. What should I do ?
Normal service could take 1-2 days for non physical damage recovery, and 2-7 days for physical damage recovery, If you use Priority Fast Service, this could cut down to within 5 days. We could also set up a ftp server for you to download recovered data. The price premium is generally 30-40% of normal pricing.
10.0 What is the chance of getting my data back ?
More than 90% of our customers so far get back all their data. If you have not been fiddling with the data media to cause further damage after failure, it is definite than we could get back the data for you.
11.0 Should I try to recover the data using some standard commercial package ?
No unless you want to risk permanent data loss. In fact most of the customers who failed to get back their data were those who tampered with the data media after the initial failure. It may also complicate the recovery process and add to recovery cost.
12.0 How is my data being kept confidential during the recovery process ?
All staffs in our company had signed our internal Non-Disclosure Agreement and we can provide our customer's Non-Disclosure Agreement, if required.
You can also engage our Data Erasure services if you want to completely erase confidential data from your submitted media before a warranty claim, selling as a second hand machine or disposal.
